Who makes Iris Elm Jewelry & Soap?

Everything is all made by me, Erin, in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. My unique jewelry is made with much thought, care, and time going into every piece. For my beadwork jewelry, each bead is individually handwoven to form the design, a process that for some pieces can take hours. I also handcraft the metalwork and wire-wrapped pieces. For my resin flower jewelry, all the flowers are handpicked here in Minnesota, pressed and dried by me, then encased in resin which is a multi-stage process. I truly love creating unique and special jewelry!

In addition to jewelry, I also love making artisan handmade cold process soap as well as other skin loving bath and body products, all made entirely from scratch in very small batches.

How do I determine the size of your jewelry?

The full measurements are listed in every description, and shown in at least one or two of the photos. Most of my jewelry is photographed with a life-sized mannequin as well as next to a pencil, to show scale. If you are unsure of how the jewelry will look on you, I recommend comparing the measurements to that of your favorite jewelry at home.

Please note: Colors may vary slightly due to lighting conditions and monitor display settings. Items are photographed using the closeup setting, causing them to appear larger than in real life. For accurate dimensions, please read descriptions carefully and view all photos.

How is your handmade soap made?

Iris Elm Soap is handmade from scratch in very small batches using high quality skin-loving plant-based oils and butters. Cold process soap means the oils are mixed with sodium hydroxide, otherwise known as lye, which causes a chemical reaction called saponification turning the oils to soap. Once the oils are saponifed, the lye is neutralized and no sodium hydroxide remains. The bars of soap are cut after 48 hours. After six weeks of curing they are very gentle and ready for use.

All soaps are palm oil free and vegan (other than the addition of honey to my oatmeal honey soap).

Lotion bars and lip balms are made with beeswax and other high quality oils and butters such as cocoa and shea.

How Will I Know When My Order Is Shipped?

When you shipment begins its journey to you, you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number.

How Soon Will I Get My Order?

Once payment is received, I usually mail next business day.

Items shipped within the US are mailed via USPS Ground Advantage with delivery confirmation. Once shipped, packages usually arrive within 3 to 5 days, give or take. {During holiday season please allow for possible delays} Shipping upgrade to USPS Priority Mail is also available.

Will I receive my order by Christmas?

As I cannot guarantee delivery dates, I recommend that you purchase your gift with plenty of time to spare, due to possible shipping delays that can occur during the busy holiday season.

Do You Ship Internationally?

I am only shipping within the United States at this time.

All jewelry will arrive beautifully packaged and ready for gift giving.

Is Gift Messaging Available?

At checkout, you have the option to mark your order as gift and leave a gift message.

Do you do custom orders?

No, I am not taking any custom orders.

The address and information you provide to Iris Elm Jewelry & Soap is ONLY to enable me to create a shipping label & send your order to you, and for legal reasons (like paying taxes). I do NOT use it for any other purpose, nor do I ever share that information.

What is your return policy?

If you decide to return your purchase than I ask that you please kindly contact me first.

Due to sanitary and hygiene reasons, jewelry that has been worn cannot be returned.

Jewelry purchases must be returned in new, unworn, unused condition and original packaging. Please contact me within 7 days of receipt and return item within 14 days of receipt for refund minus shipping costs.

Shipping costs to return the item is the responsibility of the buyer. I do not provide return labels.

A refund of the purchase price (minus shipping costs) will be promptly issued once I see the item is in new and unworn condition.

Soap, lotion, lip balm, and sugar scrubs are non-returnable and non-refundable.
